Bristol 411 Series 5

SLJ Hackett are delighted to offer a very rare LHD 1976 Bristol 411 Series 5. Chassis number 411/77372602.

Purchased by Bristol Cars from the very credible Lifelong Bristol dealer Andrew Blow in 2012. At this stage Bristol Cars were offering the ‘Series 6’ & ‘Classic restoration’. The example was purchased by the current owner who immediately instructed Bristol Cars to carry out a full restoration (Classic Restoration) as well as the left hand drive conversion, this cost in excess of £100,000.

Once completed the car was taken to Norway where the current owner commissioned a V8 engine specialist to completely rebuild and upgrade the original 400Ci engine. The engine now measures at 499Ci meaning the BHP is 370 at 4400 RPM, significantly more than standard.

During the restoration process, Bristol Cars fitted a 4 speed gearbox which pairs extremally well with the upgraded engine, 70mph cursing speed is now below 2000RPM.
