1958 AC Aceca Ford. Chassis AE 708. First registered 24th December 1958, as an AC-engined Aceca. Original buff log book shows 4 owners up to July 1969. Current owner from 25th March 2003.

This car was fitted with a Ruddspeed Ford Zephyr 213E engine in the early 1960's, a Moss gearbox with overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears, disc brakes and an uprated Piper camshaft when owned by a Mr A Jackson around 1987. There are some hand written notes about the specification of the engine. It is now fitted with 16 inch wheels and Avon Turbosteel tyres, front disc brakes, an aluminium radiator with electric fan, a "Retro-Trip" dual rally mileometer, Willans seat belts. All you need for Continental and UK road rallies and similar events, with many stickers showing the current owners use for this since he purchased it in March 2003.

Soon after purchase in 2003 it was taken to Spencer Lane-Jones Ltd for a full and comprehensive checkover and mechanical overhaul where needed. This continued on an almost annual basis from 2003 to 2015 with fully detailed invoices covering the work done on virtually all mechanical and structural elements. This is a powerful, well set-up car car, and an independent report has been commissioned and will be done shortly.

The bodywork and interior have that well-used and well maintained look of a cherished and much loved car.
