Bristol 403

This 1954 Bristol 403 is finished in Cambridge Grey coachwork and has a recently reupholstered Burgundy interior. The lovely light leather seats are accentuated with matching Burgundy piping around the edges that blend nicely together with the also Burgundy carpets. The wooden dash is in great condition, topping off what is an extremely well maintained interior cabin.

With a car that presents as nicely as this Bristol 403, it is important for the mechanical aspects to match the appearance, which the recently rebuilt original engine provides. The specs of the engine rebuild carried out by Tony Byford include:

-Bore and stroke increase.

-Cosworth 67mm pistons.

-Farndon 99mm crankshaft.

-Stanton Engineering camshaft.

-New inlet & exhaust valves.

 The strong eager feeling of a recently rebuilt engine gives this car that "ready to go anywhere feel"  and alongside a newly installed J type overdrive has provided this car with great mechanical prowess. This Bristol 403 is an excellent driving car, with smooth gear changes, a strong engine and a comfortable ride to top it all off.  This elegant and tasteful Bristol 403 is a pleasure, both to admire and to drive.

In 2016 the current owner commissioned a 200 hour re-paint to the current colour Cambridge Grey.

2017 came the complete interior restoration.

Spencer Lane-Jones fitted their front disc conversion in 2019 along with carrying out various other service work in the process.
