Bristol Blenheim Series 2S

Purchased new from Bristol Cars Ltd in August 1998, this is a very highly specified Blenheim 2S with numerous bespoke features. The car is finished with original dark blue paint and the smoke grey/blue leather interior shows little sign of wear or ageing. The Blenheim 2 was introduced on the 14th of January 1998 7 months after the arrival of Mr Toby Silverton taking a 50% stake into the company.

Mr Silverton instantly began working on improving the Blenheim in many areas, which include:

• Suspension Geometry
• Styling (Larger front headlamps, front spoiler and re-shaped wings.)
• Increased track width
• New springs
• Variable dampers
• Upgrading emissions systems
• New contoured seats
• Updated instruments

The 5.9L V8 was vastly improved to raise the power output from a somewhat out of date 225hp at 4200rpm to 275hp at 4700rpm. To achieve this he changed the camshafts, exhaust system and the ECU.

This specific Blenheim 2S supplied to a Mr Draper in August of 1998, roughly a year later Mr Draper commissioned Hide & Fidelity to make his Blenheim his own, this included:

• 5 New road wheels.
• Upgraded Bristol Blenheim 3 gear selector fitted.
• New Bristol grille insert.
• Re-trim dash, instrument cluster, rear quarter capping’s and both door panels in Blue leather
• Supply and fit Jaguar 2-door coupe seats, trimmed in Grey with Blue piping along with the original rear seats to complete the colour theme.
• Fit 2 6”x4” speakers into parcel shelf.

Throughout the years there has been no expense spared in the maintenance, Spencer Lane-Jones, Bristol Cars and Coleman Classics have all carried out work over the years. Most notably Spencer Lane-Jones fitted the AP Racing Big Brake Conversion in 2020.
