SLJ Hackett are delighted to offer this 1951 Bristol 401 restoration project.

JGG 649 was brought new by Miss Jean MacGillivray, Inverness. This 401 was provided by Galt’s the Bristol agent in Glasgow. Originally the colour of the car was Black.

In 1962/3 the car was sold to a Mr Ian Rattray, Coupar Angus.

1963 purchased by John Ferrier, Dundee (colour changed to Red).

1967 purchased by Raymond Mann, Forfar (only kept for 6 months)

1968 purchased by Charles Stewart, Dundee (engine changed).

1971 colour changed to Yellow.

1978 purchased by Chris Comben, Invergowrie. Mr Comben had more than 1 Bristol at this time.

1980 purchased by Roderick McCreadie.

1982 purchased by the previous owner who owned the car for 40 years.

This is a complete car, the engine is currently stripped into parts form whilst the gearbox & axle are still attached to the car.
